Magicana is the administrative body for Senior Sorcery. We are a performing arts organization dedicated to the study, advancement and exploration of  magic as a performance art.

Our activities are as broad as our subject matter. We produce and present performances by some of the world’s leading magicians. We create exhibitions related to all facets of magic: performers, writers, designers, and inventors of magic.

We stage workshops and seminars for both beginners and long-time practitioners. We also publish books pertaining to all aspects of magic including biographies of great performers, manuals for technical secrets and reprints of rare treatises.

Magicana is also a registered charity and proud of our community outreach and work. Besides orchestrating Senior Sorcery, we also provide magic coaching and lessons for children in our program called, My Magic Hands. This program was designed to demonstrate to children that anything is possible, using magic as a metaphor to create and develop essential life skills. We work with several communities servicing children including the clients and families at Holland Bloorview Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital; the children and mentors of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto; and several “at-risk” inner city communities where arts programming may not always be accessible to children and their families.
